Providing a place for men to talk honestly

Many men are taught to push through stress, stay strong, and handle problems on their own. While resilience is valuable, carrying everything alone can take a toll. Therapy offers a confidential, practical space to slow down, gain clarity, and move forward with greater confidence.

I am passionate about helping couples better understand the patterns that shape their relationship. In couples counseling, my primary goal is to help partners recognize what may not be working at a systems level rather than focusing on identifying one person as “the problem.” I believe that relationship challenges are often rooted in interaction patterns, unmet needs, and misunderstandings that develop over time. My role is to guide couples toward deeper understanding of each other, encouraging respect for their differences and appreciation for the unique perspectives each partner brings. Through this process, couples can learn to communicate more honestly, accept one another more fully, and build a lasting relationship grounded in truth, mutual respect, and genuine acceptance.

A little bit about my life experience: I served in the Marine Corps as an infantryman from 2000-2004 and in the Oregon Army National Guard from 2015-2023. I owned and operated a construction company after leaving the Marine Corps until I decided to go to college. After receiving my professional degrees I worked at Oregon Institute of Technology as a counselor and eventually started a counseling agency called Klamath Counseling Services. I currently serve as the Assistant Clinical Director at Quality Counseling Services.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon, I specialize in working with men navigating anxiety, depression, anger, relationship challenges, life transitions, career stress, and unresolved trauma. I also work with military members and veterans, while maintaining a broader focus on supporting men from all backgrounds who want to strengthen their mental and emotional well-being.

My preferred modality is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I value CBT because it provides practical, evidence-based tools to understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, challenge limiting beliefs, and develop strategies that create measurable, lasting change. Sessions are collaborative, structured when helpful, and focused on real-world application.

At the core of my work is the belief that people often already carry the insight and strength they need — sometimes it just takes the right questions and perspective to uncover it. My intent is not to give you all the answers, but to help you recognize the answers that are already within you and build the confidence to act on them.

Clients often appreciate a style that balances empathy with directness. Therapy isn’t about weakness; it’s about developing self-awareness, sharpening your thinking, and building the skills necessary to live with intention.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I welcome you to reach out. Meaningful change begins with a conversation.
